The 5th edition of Volcom’s Spot to Spot event in Avoriaz, France, held on March 29th and 30th, 2025, delivered an electrifying weekend of snowboarding, music, and camaraderie. With 300 riders participating in five dynamic snowboard sessions and live musical performances, the event celebrated the essence of the snowboarding community.
Inclusive Participation and Categories
Spot to Spot is renowned for its inclusive nature, welcoming riders of all ages and skill levels. The event featured categories for women, men, and kids (15 and under), accommodating both amateurs and professionals. This inclusivity fostered a vibrant atmosphere where seasoned pros and enthusiastic newcomers could ride together, share experiences, and inspire one another.
Event Highlights
The weekend commenced at La Chapelle snowpark with an amateur Warm-Up Session, setting an energetic tone for the days ahead. Participants showcased their skills across various sessions, each offering unique challenges and opportunities for expression.
Petit Pin Session
This session featured a “Cash for Tricks” format with a €600 prize pool. Notable accolades included:

L’Express Session
Exclusively for professional riders, this session at the bottom of the Stade lift featured a €3,000 prize, attracting top-tier talent and delivering high-caliber performances that captivated spectators.
Après-Ski and Live Music
Beyond the slopes, Spot to Spot offered vibrant après-ski experiences. The Happy Hours Bar in Montriond hosted live bands, including FuckFuckFuck and Mess, creating an electric atmosphere that extended the day’s excitement into the evening. Shuttle services ensured participants could enjoy the festivities safely.
Community and Atmosphere
The event’s success was amplified by the collective spirit of the snowboarding community. Riders, spectators, and organizers came together to celebrate their shared passion, fostering an environment of mutual respect and enjoyment. The free BBQs and refreshments further enhanced the communal experience, allowing participants to refuel and connect between sessions.
