After a five-year hiatus, Los Angeles-based rap duo Shoreline Mafia—comprised of OHGEESY (Alejandro Carranza) and Fenix Flexin (Fenix Rypinski)—have reunited, marking a significant chapter in their musical journey. Following their 2020 album, Mafia Bidness, OHGEESY and Fenix Flexin pursued solo careers, each exploring individual artistic paths. Fenix released a series of solo mixtapes, including Fenix Flexin Vol. 1 in 2021 and Fenix Flexin Vol. 2 in 2022, showcasing his versatility as an artist. OHGEESY, on the other hand, focused on his solo debut, further cementing his presence in the rap scene.

Their solo endeavors allowed them to grow individually, but the magnetic pull of their original collaboration remained strong. As Fenix noted, “We’re both at different stages in our lives than we were five years ago. We’re older and wiser now, and everything just feels right.”

Transitioning from the party-centric lifestyle that once defined their careers, they’ve adopted healthier routines. Fenix highlighted this shift: “Back then, we were partying all the time. This time, we’re in the gym. We’re eating right. We’re picking each other up. Prioritizing the mental allows us to do everything better.”
